Maritzburg United have reportedly added defender Bradley Cross to their roster for the remainder of the 2022/23 DStv Premiership season.
The 21-year-old is understood to have impressed coach Fadlu Davids and his technical team during his trial with the Team of Choice. According to a source close to the Pietermaritzburg-based outfit, talks around the player’s deal are at an advanced stage and is expected to be officially announced in the course of the week.

Cross is the third defender set to be signed by Maritzburg following the addition of experienced duo Raafiq De Goede and Wayde Jooste. The young player had come through the development ranks at Bidvest Wits although he has never featured in the South African topflight.
He was last on the books of Newcastle FC reserves, where he spent two seasons and prior to that with Schalke 04 in Germany. The addition of Cross to the Maritzburg United squad is expected to bolster their defensive options as they look to make a push up the DStv Premiership table.
