Kaizer Chiefs Head Coach Arthur Zwane has revealed the top-class player he could turn to in the event of Caleb Bimenyimana suffering an injury.
Bimenyimana, the league’s top goal scorer, was on the scoresheet once again for Chiefs in their 2-0 win over Lamontville Golden Arrows on Saturday, taking his total to seven goals this season, one ahead of his closest competitors.

However, the lanky striker hobbled off in the second half of the match, and is a doubt for Chiefs’ next fixture against Sekhukhune United. Speaking to reporters, Zwane praised Bimenyimana’s performance, noting that he was pleased with the striker’s ability to break lines and open up spaces for his teammates.
He also revealed that he could turn to young striker Wandile Duba, who was promoted from the club’s reserves this season, should Bimenyimana be unable to take the field. “I’m not worried about his injury right now, if he is injured, we’ll play the young man Wandi [Wandile Duba], he’s got the potential to score goals, so we have no fear,” Zwane said.
“As you could have seen, when he went in there, he showed he was fearless but obviously he made mistakes here and there but make no mistake, he is a top-class player and he is going places that young man, so I don’t have worries.”
