Maritzburg United have bolstered their squad ahead of their crucial DStv Premiership clash with Marumo Gallants on Saturday afternoon, with the signing of former Stellenbosch FC star Rafiq De Goede.

The experienced defender parted ways with Stellenbosch during the World Cup break in December and has now joined the Team of Choice in their fight against relegation. De Goede played a key role in helping Stellenbosch qualify for the MTN8 last season, as the team finished fourth in the 2021/2022 season.
