This evening’s clash between Mamelodi Sundowns and Richards Bay FC promises to be an exciting one as both teams look to extend their impressive unbeaten runs in the DStv Premiership.
The Brazilians, who are currently seven points clear at the top of the table, have won eight consecutive league matches, while the Natal Rich Boyz have gone nine matches without defeat.
The two sides have never met in the top flight before, but Sundowns thrashed Bay 4-0 in the Nedbank round of 32 last season while the KwaZulu-Natal side were still campaigning in the Motsepe Foundation Championship. Richards Bay will be hoping to cause an upset and extend their unbeaten run to 10 matches, while Mamelodi Sundowns will be aiming to extend their winning streak to nine matches and maintain their lead at the top of the standings.
