Orlando Pirates are close to completing the signing of an international striker, according to the latest reports. Cameroonian forward Marou Souaibou, 22, is reportedly set to join the Soweto giants after boarding a flight to Johannesburg on Sunday.
The Buccaneers have been linked with the Coton Sport striker for a number of weeks, and it appears as though a deal is close to being finalised. According to Cameroonian football website Kick442, Souaibou is expected to put pen to paper with Pirates on Wednesday, signing a two-and-a-half-year deal.
The signing of Souaibou would add to coach Jose Riveiro’s team in this transfer window, with Ndumiso Mabena and Craig Martin having already been signed in December.
The highly-rated forward has been in scintillating form for Coton Sport, and it remains to be seen if he can replicate his form in the South African Premiership.
