Blom Opens Up On His Last Game For Chiefs, Soweto Derby

Orlando Pirates have taken huge strides towards the acquisition of Cameroonian international striker Marou Souaibou, with the player believed to be in the country to finalize his proposed deal with the club.

According to sources, the 22-year-old has completed his medical with the Soweto giants and his signing is imminent. A source confirmed, “The player is likely to be announced in due course. Everything has gone well.” Indications are that the forward could be handed a two-and-a-half-year contract plus an option to extend.

The Buccaneers have prioritized goalscoring as a key area, and with the recent appointment of Englishman Scott Chickelday as the team’s striker coach, there has been notable improvement in the team’s attack, following the side’s 3-1 victory against Golden Arrows last weekend.

Pirates are now looking to add more firepower to coach Jose Riveiro’s side as they prepare to welcome Stellenbosch FC in their next fixture in Orlando on Sunday.
