Kaizer Chiefs will take on Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday at the FNB Stadium in a match that could prove to be a major test for the Soweto giants. Despite having recently suffered back-to-back defeats to Sekhukhune United and AmaZulu respectively, Chiefs midfielder Nkosingiphile Ngcobo is confident that his side can pull off a shock win against a rampant Sundowns side that is on an 11-match winning streak.
Our next encounter sees us travel to Soweto to battle for three points against Amakhosi!

The last time the two sides met, Downs ran out 4-0 winners over Amakhosi, but Ngcobo believes that the team can use their mistakes to improve and get the maximum points they need.
“As soccer players, we know it’s like that. Sometimes you lose games. But now it’s up to us to stay focused. We know what we want to do, and we try to concentrate on the next match and not worry about what has already happened. We can learn from the mistakes and try to rectify them,” Ngcobo said via the club’s official website.
“We need to focus on ourselves. We know where we can hurt Sundowns and we just have to make sure that we play our A-game because we need maximum points. They have been winning more games than us, but I believe you create your own luck through hard work. That is the key to getting to where we want to be and I am confident we will get there,” he added.
