Kaizer Chiefs have finally come to a decision regarding the future of one of their defenders, Thabani Dube, whose contract is not set to expire until 2024. According to Soccer Laduma, the club has instructed his camp to find him a team, as they have already signed Thatayaone Ditlhokwe from SuperSport United on a four-year contract.
The Premier Soccer League January transfer window will close next week Tuesday, and it remains to be seen if there will be any suitors for Dube’s services. If not, it is likely that Amakhosi will terminate his contract at the end of the season, as they have done with many players in the past.
In addition, the futures of Eric Mathoho, Khama Billiat, Phathutshedzo Nange, and Cole Alexander are also on the line. Mathoho and Billiat’s contracts are set to expire at the end of the season, while Nange and Alexander’s contracts are due to expire in 2024.
The Glamour Boys have already cut 11 players at the end of last season, and with the current state of things, there could be further cuts at the end of this season.
