On Thursday, Orlando Pirates made one of their big signings of the 2022/23 season, with Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo joining from Marumo Gallants. Now, another transfer target from the Limpopo outfit is unlikely to move, at least for now.
As reported by the Siya crew, Ivorian defender Olivier Toure has been identified as a transfer target for the Buccaneers. Toure has been impressive in his first season in the DStv Premiership, despite his team’s disappointing campaign, which has led to the head coach being placed on special leave.
Toure played the full match as Gallants lost 2-0 to Pirates at the weekend, and he came close to scoring. According to sources, the plan is for Bucs’ interest in Toure to be revisited at the end of the season, as player movements will be expected to take place at the Soweto giants. The source also mentioned that there could be opportunities abroad for the player.
Pirates currently have their foreign quota exhausted after the signing of Cameroon striker Souaibou Marou, in addition to Terrence Dzvukamanja, Bienvenu Eva Nga, Richard Ofori and Olisa Ndah.
