Agent Mike Makaab has confirmed that they have agreed to a mutual termination of Sibusiso Vilakazi’s contract with DStv Premiership club, TS Galaxy. The former Bafana Bafana midfielder has not been training with the team for the past few weeks, after a fallout with head coach Sead Ramovic in a match against Swallows FC.
“We have agreed to a mutual termination,” Makaab told the Siya crew in a brief response.
An insider informed the Siya crew that Vilakazi was no longer training with the first team. “He had a fallout with the coach, and he has not been training with the first team. He has been training with the DDC team. If you check, he has not played since the match against Swallows,” the source said.
Another source also confirmed to the Siya crew that Vilakazi was not present at training sessions. “It’s true. I don’t know the full details, but it happened during that game against Swallows. He was told not to train with the team. It’s very unfortunate. I feel for Vila. He chose the wrong team. I remember telling him not to go there, but I was being sarcastic about it. I don’t know why he chose the team, but the story of him no longer training with the first team is true.”
Vila had made 10 appearances for the Rockets this season. The Siya crew tried to get in touch with Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi, but his phone ran unanswered.
