An announcement is pending from either Orlando Pirates or Maritzburg United regarding the latest deal between the two clubs.
On Tuesday, the last day of the transfer window, the Team of Choice succeeded in luring versatile player Tebogo Tlolane from Bucs, according to well-placed sources. Tlolane is reuniting with his former Pirates coach Fadlu Davids on a short-term loan deal to the end of the season.
“It’s a done deal, Tebogo Tlolane is going to Maritzburg United on another loan move from Pirates. He is expected to leave for Pietermaritzburg before the weekend,” confirmed a close source.
The 28-year-old previously played for the Pietermaritzburg outfit on loan from Bucs between January 2020 and June 2021. In Pirates’ inconsistent 2022/23 DStv Premiership campaign, Tlolane made only two appearances and has been out of the picture under the club’s head coach Jose Riveiro for the better part of the season.
Maritzburg United recently signed Ghanaian forward Kwame Peprah from Pirates in mid-January.
