AmaZulu FC’s head coach Romain Folz is feeling the heat after yet another draw for the KwaZulu-Natal giants in the DStv Premiership.
Usuthu were held to a 1-1 draw by Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Friday evening, with the visitors needing a last-minute equaliser from new signing Guily Manziba to salvage a point.
Since Folz took over in December, Usuthu have played nine matches, securing two wins, one loss and six draws.
While the 4-0 victory against Kaizer Chiefs three weeks ago was a high point, the club’s management are concerned by the overall results and are reportedly considering taking action should the disappointing results persist.
A source close to Usuthu told Soccer Laduma, “The coach is doing everything to give the team a direction but unfortunately football is all about the results. The disappointing results are a concern for the club.” The club will be hoping for a better performance when they face Tornado FC in the Nedbank Cup Last 32 round at the King Zwelithini Stadium next Sunday.
