Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane was unable to commit to the future of Khama Billiat, with the player’s contract coming to an end in June. Billiat, who is expected to be out for the remainder of the campaign after the club confirmed that he has gone for surgery, has put his future with the Soweto giants in doubt.
The former Zimbabwean international has not featured for the side since the Soweto derby in October last year as he works his way to full recovery. He will be turning 33 in August and only time will tell if Amakhosi are prepared to keep the former Mamelodi Sundowns man beyond the expiration of his deal in June.
When asked about his opinion on the matter, Zwane said that it all boils down to profiling players and the plan for the next season. He added that only time will tell who will remain part of the team and who will not.
