On Saturday, it was announced that former Mamelodi Sundowns star, Sibusiso Vilakazi, has been granted his clearance from TS Galaxy and is now a free agent.
With a market value of €700 000 (±R13m), Vilakazi is the most valuable free agent currently available in the Premier Soccer League.
The 32-year-old midfielder, who has gained vast experience from his time with Sundowns, made 10 appearances for TS Galaxy before his contract was terminated by mutual consent.
Kudakwashe Mahachi, who was last on the books of SuperSport United, is the player closest to Vilakazi in terms of value, with a market value of €525 000 (±R9.8m).
Other notable free agents include former Kaizer Chiefs winger, Kabelo Mahlasela, who has a market value of €450 000 (±R8.4m), and former Orlando Pirates midfielder, Thabo Qalinge, whose market value is €400 000 (±R7.5m). It remains to be seen which club will be lucky enough to secure the services of these highly-rated free agents.
