Chiefs have struggled for consistency in recent weeks, having been held to a goalless draw by TS Galaxy in the DStv Premiership last weekend. Maritzburg United have been in better form, having won three consecutive matches under the guidance of Fadlu Davids before drawing their last two games.
The Team of Choice were knocked out in the first round of this tournament last season by SuperSport United, and they will be hoping to get over the first hurdle this time around.
