Jabu Matsio broke the deadlock for SuperSport early in the second stanza, Tendamudzimu Matodzi gave them a two-goal cushion with 19 minutes left and Keenan Bezuidenhout put the result beyond doubt in stoppages.
AmaZulu drew their fifth game in a row after they salvaged a share of the spoils in a four-goal thriller against Marumo Gallants on Saturday morning at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. Sibusiso Nkosi put Gallants ahead midway through the first stanza but AmaZulu found the equaliser just before the interval. Matsimela Thoka’s charges thought they had bagged all the three points after Zwelethu Mzimela forced an own goal from Usuthu with three minutes to go, however, the KwaZulu-Natal side snatched the equaliser in the last minute.
Sekhukhune United bounced back from their embarrassing defeat against Cape Town City after beating Royal AM 2-0 on Sunday morning at Isak Steyl Stadium. Asekho Tiwani got the breakthrough for Sekhukhune midway through the first stanza and Simphiwe Mabena sealed the deal in added time.
