Kaizer Chiefs fans have been given a glimpse of what they can expect from new signing Christian Saile Basomboli, with a secret agent tellingPSLSA that the Congolese forward is a “very good player” who is excellent at creating goals for his teammates.
The 22-year-old has made an immediate impact since joining the Soweto giants, scoring one goal and providing an assist in three games in all competitions. He was also influential in Chiefs’ 2-0 victory over Maritzburg United last Friday, as they marched on to the Last 16 of the Nedbank Cup.

While coach Arthur Zwane has lauded the player’s immediate impact and expecting improvement, the secret agent believes Amakhosi should expect more from the burly forward as the club looks to compete for the championship and trophies in fixtures to come.
“Kaizer Chiefs supporters should expect a lot more from Christian Saile because he is a very good player,” said the agent. “That one is very busy and his work-rate is high. He is not your typical target man and a player you can expect a goal from in every match, but he is very busy and is very good in creating goals for the players around him.”
The agent went on to say that the club should use Saile according to his strengths and make use of his ability to create for others effectively. They should also consider signing another striker to form a successful combination with Saile.
“He is not the kind of a player you can rely on for goals because you can find him making runs to the channels and he is very good as a second striker. If you see how he plays, he spends most of the time out of the box and that is his strength and for me Chiefs still need another striker – a target man who can combine with him (Saile) well,” the agent concluded.
Kaizer Chiefs are scheduled to play against Golden Arrows at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in their next league fixture on Sunday.
