Cape Town City and Sekhukhune United will be looking to secure their spot in the top eight of the DStv Premiership when they go head to head at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday evening. The Citizens, who are currently in eighth place, will be hoping to move up the table with a win after they managed to turn things around with a 2-0 victory over Swallows last weekend. Sekhukhune, who are currently in sixth place, are coming off a 2-0 win over Richards Bay and are just a point ahead of City.
Eric Tinkler’s charges were knocked out of the Nedbank Cup by Royal AM on penalties a week prior, while Brandon Truter’s men progressed in the competition with a 6-0 drubbing of amateur side Liver Brothers. The sides could not be separated in the first round meeting after playing to a goalless draw in September last year in Cape Town.
