Kaizer Chiefs striker Ranga Chivaviro believes it is his responsibility to fit into the playing system at Amakhosi. Despite not yet finding the back of the net since joining the club from Marumo Gallants, the 30-year-old has been adapting to the style of new Chiefs coach Molefi Ntseki, although injuries have hindered the process.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday, ahead of the DStv Premiership clash against Cape Town City at FNB Stadium, Chivaviro said: “As a player, you need to adapt. Not everything is going to be comfortable and not everything is going to be the way you want it to be. Coming to an institute like this, you need to adapt to the way things are done here. It’s my responsibility to make sure that I fit in and make sure that I give the coaches something to say.”
“Working with coach Molefi… He is someone you can speak to openly. I talk to him from time to time and I think the guys can attest to that. I think he is someone we can freely go to and speak. It does not have to be football related. He is someone that gives you that opportunity to come speak to you and he will obviously give you the advice that you need and it will be up to you whether you take it or not,” Chivaviro said.
Amakhosi will look to show the same fighting spirit they did last week when they came from a goal down to beat Sekhukhune United 2-1, when they take on Cape Town City at 19h30 tonight.
