On Monday, the Premier Soccer League (PSL) confirmed the prize money for the inaugural Carling Knockout tournament. The tournament, which officially kicks off next week, will see Mamelodi Sundowns take on TS Galaxy at the Mbombela Stadium. The winner of the tournament will be awarded a whopping R6.6 million, in addition to a participation fee of R250 000 for each round. This is a significant increase from the R4 million prize money offered in the defunct Telkom Knockout. The full prize money breakdown is as follows:
