Finland-based South African physical trainer and coach, Leroy Maluka,
recently shared an inspiring story of his meeting with Premier League star
and Bafana Bafana striker, Lyle Foster. Maluka, who visited England as
part of his recent trip, spoke exclusively to the Siya crew about his
experience.
Maluka said, “I had already spoken to Lyle before I went there through my
friend during the pre-season. Going there was just about meeting up with
him for the first time and having a chat in Afrikaans, for example. That
was a bit of an unusual situation but it was nice being able to have that
conversation.”
Maluka has been impressed with Foster’s work-rate and progress in his
first season in the Premier League. He said, “Lyle has got a lot to give
to the game. He’s just getting started, I feel. He is a very key player
for the team and he’s going to
score a lot more goals in the season. I don’t know how many he can score
but he’s a player that as long as he is on the field he can deliver. You
can expect goals from him and he’s an important player for the team and
it’s nice to see him taking the opportunity and doing this well.”
Maluka’s inspiring story of his meeting with the Bafana Bafana striker is
a testament to Foster’s hard work and dedication. Fans of the Premier
League and the national team can expect to see more goals from the former
Orlando Pirates striker in the upcoming season.
