Pirates Reach a Verdict on Cameroonian Striker?

Orlando Pirates have reportedly made a key decision regarding their
Cameroonian striker, Souaibou Marou, according to sources close to the
club. The Siya crew understands that Pirates are looking to loan out the
22-year-old in January, in order for him to gain more game time and
experience elsewhere.

Marou joined Pirates in January this year, but has yet to make an
appearance in the PSL this season. His only showings have been in the CAF
Champions League against Jwaneng Galaxy, where he played for a total of 77
minutes in both the home and away games.

The source indicated that the club are looking to loan out Marou for the
second half of the season in order to keep him active and fit. They are
currently in talks with different teams to work out the ideal conditions
for the loan.

“They know he is a good player who needs to get used to the style of play
both at the club and in the PSL, so that’s why they want to loan him out
so that he can play regularly,” the source told PSLSA.

A second source added that the loan will only be for the second half of
the season, and that Marou is expected to rejoin the team during next
season’s off season. At that time, the final decision will be taken as to
whether or not he will finish his contract at Pirates.

The Siya crew contacted Pirates for comment but no response was received
while this story was prepared.
