On Sunday, 12th of March, two of South Africa’s top teams, TS Galaxy and
Stellenbosch FC, will face off at the Mbombela Stadium in a battle for a
spot in the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup. Both teams come into the
game on the back of impressive unbeaten runs.
Galaxy extended their unbeaten run to five in all competitions matches
after playing to a goalless draw against Marumo Gallants last weekend. The
Rockets booked their spot in the last 16 after beating ABC Motsepe League
side Amavarara 2-0. Similarly, Stellies have been in good form, as their
four-game winning streak in all competitions was halted last weekend after
they played to a 1-1 draw with table-toppers Mamelodi Sundowns. Steve
Barker’s charges qualified for the last 16 after thrashing Swallows 3-0,
with Iqraam Rayners starring with two goals on the day.
TS Galaxy enjoy home advantage, but in-form Stellenbosch FC will ask a lot of questions.🔥🔥
