Orlando Pirates have been handed a major boost ahead of their upcoming
match against SuperSport United, with the return of several key players.
Captain Innocent Maela, Tapelo Xoki and Nkosinathi Sibisi have all served
their respective suspensions, while Olisa Ndah has recovered from a knock.
Maela, who was red-carded against Kaizer Chiefs, has now served his
two-match suspension and is expected to return to the starting lineup for
the clash against SuperSport. After picking up a slight injury against
Chiefs, the defender has resumed training with the rest of the team.
Ndah has also resumed training after picking up a knock against Amakhosi,
with his return to the team welcomed by the technical staff. The
Buccaneers are aiming to progress to the next round of the Nedbank Cup
after defeating Venda Football Academy in the Last 16 on Saturday.
The return of the team’s top defenders will surely boost their chances of
success in their upcoming match, as they look to build on their recent
positive run of form.
