Deane: I’d Welcome the Opportunity to Face Chiefs…

On Friday evening, Kaizer Chiefs will travel to the Harry Gwala Stadium
to face Maritzburg United in the Nedbank Cup Last 32 round in one of the
all-topflight clashes. Meanwhile, Clarewood JPM FC from the Western Cape
is hoping to be drawn against the Soweto giants at some stage, should they
proceed in the competition. The Cape side will face Mpheni Home Defenders
in their Last 32 match at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday.

Clarewood JPM FC’s newly appointed coach Dylan Deane has expressed his
desire to play against Kaizer Chiefs in the tournament. Deane stated that
playing against the Soweto giants would be a great experience for some of
his players. He also spoke about the passion that playing against Chiefs
would bring to him and his players.

“I think for me, I want Kaizer Chiefs, to be honest with you. I think also
being a student of this game, I started watching football at a very young
age, being a Kaizer Chiefs supporter myself all these times. I looked up
to all those players and the coaches they had. Shane McGregor, Rudolf
Seale, Ntsie Maphike, Samora Khulu, Teenage Dladla… and those players,
(are the reason for the way) I look at football and the passion it brings
to me and to my players. It creates a good feel in and around our club
when I talk to them about the past and how we could play football and how
football should be played, in my idea. So, yeah, I’d actually love to get
Kaizer Chiefs to be honest with you,” Deane said.

The Last 32 round of the Nedbank Cup promises to be an exciting one, and
if Clarewood JPM FC can progress, they will be hoping for a chance to face
Kaizer Chiefs.
