Ndlovu’s Exclusive Interview from Turkey After Earthquake

On Monday, a powerful earthquake hit Turkey, leaving a trail of
destruction and loss of life in its wake. South African soccer star Dino
Ndlovu, who recently signed for Turkish second-tier side Boluspor, has now
given an update on his safety following the natural disaster.

Speaking to the Siya crew, the former SuperSport United and Mpumalanga
Black Aces player confirmed that the city he was in was affected by the
earthquake, but that he is safe. “I am okay. I am safe. The earthquake did
hit our city, but not as much as it hit in the province. A lot of people
lost their lives and others got injured and a few players from other teams
went missing,” he said.

Ndlovu, who previously played for Kocaelispor in the Turkish second tier,
also confirmed that the league has been paused until further notice.
“They’ve paused the league for now, so we are waiting to hear for how long
it will be paused for, but for now we are still training, and we will
continue to train.”

At the time of the earthquake, Boluspor were ninth on the Turkish 1 Lig
standings, with 22 matches played.
