On Saturday, 11 February, Golden Arrows host Pretoria Callies in a
Nedbank Cup last 32 encounter at Princess Magogo Stadium. Abafana
Bes’thende are precariously lying 13th on the table, just one point above
the relegation zone, having lost their fourth game in five matches with a
2-1 defeat to Royal AM the last time out. Meanwhile, Callies are on a
four-match unbeaten run in the Motsepe Foundation Championship as they
seek to avoid relegation.
Callies reached the last 32 of this tournament after edging fellow
second-tier side JDR Stars 1-0 in the qualifiers and will take inspiration
from their run in 2021, when they reached the semi-finals of this
tournament before they were eliminated by Chippa United, who narrowly won
1-0.
Golden Arrows will line-up with Mbatha, Cele, Mantshiyane, Hlatshwayo,
Mjengu, Dube, Gumbi, Khumalo, Mmodi, Lunga, Mutizwa, while Pretoria
Callies will field Maova, Georgiades, Mogaswa, Ismail, Noge, Kwayiba,
