In-Form Mailula Never Wants to ‘Get Tired of Scoring

Mamelodi Sundowns maintained their perfect start in Group B of the CAF
Champions League after securing a 3-1 victory over Coton Sport in Garoua,
Cameroon on Saturday. The duo of Cassius Mailula and Thapelo Morena were
left impressed with the work done by the technical team and credited them
for the win.

Mailula scored a brace in the match and praised the technical team for
their preparation. “We played very well as a team, it’s not about me
because the guys help me to actually get myself in good positions and
always give me the right details, what to do and what not to do,” he said.
“So I’m very happy about myself by scoring but I think I can actually do
more by keeping on scoring and never get tired of scoring. And I also want
to thank the analysis guys and the technical team because we were very on
the spot, everything that we planned, it actually happened in the game, so
I’m very happy.”

Morena also alluded that their preparations for the game was spot on, as
everything came out as planned. “The game was a bit difficult but whatever
we’ve done at training it was spot on and some of the goals really came
out from the training pitch,” he said. “It’s very important getting six
points in two games, it’s one thing we’ve been looking forward to because
we know there’s a great possibility when it’s like this if we get three
points away, when we go home we might as well take the maximum points.”

Sundowns will travel to Cairo to take on Al Ahly on Saturday evening and
Morena looked forward to the encounter. “It’s very important to go back
home and prepare for Al Ahly the way we’ve been preparing for every game
and when we get to Cairo we just hope that whatever we do in the training
pitch will also present itself (like) the game we played (against Coton
Sport),” he said.
