‘Ntseki Never Given a Fair Chance from the Start!’

Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Tlou Molekwane has spoken out on what he
believes is unfair treatment of the club’s head coach Molefi Ntseki from
some sections of the supporters.

Chiefs are currently sitting 8th on the log with 11 points from three wins
and two draws from nine appearances and there have been calls from some
sections of unhappy supporters for Ntseki to be relieved of his duties.

Molekwane, speaking exclusively to the Siya crew, says the signs were
there from the word go as Ntseki didn’t receive a warm welcome from some
sections of the supporters.

“Let me tell you something, coach Ntseki was never given a chance from the
word go after his appointment. From the moment of his announcement, people
were negative already and were all over social media, Ntseki this and
Ntseki that, and they never supported the coach and it’s wrong. Whoever is
in charge of the team, and it doesn’t matter who, he must be supported.
The supporters should play their role which is supporting the team through
thick and thin,” said Molekwane.

“I have seen Chiefs win and the coach was never given credit for his
tactics, line-up and whatever that he did that worked. The credit always
goes to the players but whenever they feel there has to be negativity that
goes straight to the coach and it’s not fair. It’s not good at all,” he
added.

The former Chiefs defender believes that the supporters should be more
supportive of the coach and the team, rather than being negative.

Chiefs are scheduled to host AmaZulu at FNB Stadium in their next fixture
on Saturday in the Carling Knockout.
