Orlando Pirates youngster Relebohile Mofokeng is set to be lost to the
club and Mzansi, with an opportunity to further his career overseas
presenting itself. The 18-year-old has jetted off to England to attend
trials with an English club, as first reported by SABC Sport.
Mofokeng is a favourite among Pirates fans due to his sublime performances
since making his debut last season. This season, he has made 11
appearances in all competitions, including the MTN8 final in which the
side was victorious, with Mofokeng coming on as a substitute in the second
half.
According to a source, Mofokeng left for England on Sunday and is
currently undergoing a trial period. The source also confirmed that he
will be returning to Pirates and that the trial is only for assessment
purposes.
Mofokeng’s potential move overseas follows the success of former Pirates
striker Lyle Foster, who is currently enjoying scintillating form in
England’s Premier League for Burnley.
