Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Collins Makgaka has been searching for
a new club since being released from the Soweto giants at the end of last
season. After unsuccessful stints at Stellenbosch FC and Polokwane City, the
27-year-old has now surfaced at Sekhukhune United.
A source close to the club confirmed to the Siya crew that Makgaka arrived
on Tuesday, and is training with the team in the hopes of impressing coach
Brandon Truter.
“Yes, Collins Makgaka has arrived and is here with us at Sekhukhune and
training with the team. He arrived yesterday (Tuesday),” said the source.
“He will be given a chance to impress. I am aware that he was recently at
Polokwane City but things didn’t go quite well for him there and he came
here.”
Makgaka is hoping to revive his career after a frustrating three seasons
due to a lack of regular game time at Bucs.
