Lorch Nets R100k on His Return to Pirates

On Thursday, Orlando Pirates midfielder Thembinkosi Lorch returned to

action after a tough year and was awarded Man of the Match.

The Buccaneers secured a 2-0 win over Cape Town Spurs in the Carling
Knockout, with Lorch completing the full 90 minutes. Speaking to
SuperSport TV after the match, Lorch expressed his gratitude for the
opportunity to showcase his talent and thanked his family and fans for
their continued support.

He also noted the difficulty of not playing for a team like Orlando
Pirates and the pressure that comes with playing for a big team.

The 30-year-old revealed he was starting to cramp up in the latter stages
of the second half, but he pushed through with the encouragement of the
coach. “The pressure is there, the pressure will always be there,
especially playing for a big team like Orlando Pirates, so for me it’s to
deliver, work hard in each and every chance I get to play,” Lorch said.
