Pirates Reconsider Young Defender in Unexpected Turnaround

After four months of waiting, Orlando Pirates have finally registered young defender Thabiso Sesane for the 2023/24 season. The 23-year-old had been training with the Pirates first team since being recalled from a loan spell with All Stars in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Sesane was expected to go out on loan again to gain much-needed game time, given the star-studded lineup of the Pirates. However, in a surprise move, he was included in the Pirates’ matchday squad against AmaZulu and was named on the substitutes’ bench, though he did not feature in the game.

It seems that Pirates have had a change of heart with regards to the defender, who appears to have worked his way into the club’s plans for the season given their busy schedule.
