Kaizer Chiefs have appointed Cavin Johnson as interim coach following the dismissal of Molefi Ntseki earlier this week. The Siya crew understands that the club is looking to bring in a coach who will have enough time to work with the team during the Africa Cup of Nations break.
Amakhosi have already been inundated with CVs of coaches interested in taking over, and management are hoping to find the right man for the job in time to work with the team during the AFCON break in January. This period will act as a pre-season, where coaches are able to work with the team and find the right combinations to ensure they get the desired results.
Johnson will be working with the team until a suitable coach is found and will then return to his position as head of development. The Soweto giants will be looking to turn their season around as they take on second-placed Golden Arrows, a side currently seven points behind league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
