Kaizer Chiefs have been on the hunt for a new coach since they parted ways with Molefi Ntseki last week. The South African giants have reportedly received a CV from Europe, with Spanish coach Raul Caneda believed to be the latest to show an interest in the job.
The 54-year-old Caneda is no stranger to coaching, having worked as an assistant at Real Sociedad and Almeria in Spain, as well as in Saudi Arabia and Qatar. He was also a football coordinator for the Real Madrid football school between 2002 and 2003, and is known to be close to Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
Chiefs are expected to make an announcement of a new coach before the end of the year, with the club looking to use the Africa Cup of Nations break as the perfect time for the new man in charge to work with the players and get to know them better. Indications are that Chiefs will be going for a foreign coach.
