Ntseki’s Strategy Unveiled: Deployment Plans for Mthethwa, Castillo, and Maart

Molefi Ntseki, head coach of Kaizer Chiefs, has addressed the burning
question of whether Sibongiseni Mthethwa, Yusuf Maart and Edson Castillo
can play together in the Glamour Boys’ midfield. Following the recent
signing of Mthethwa, a natural defensive midfielder, Amakhosi supporters
have been anticipating seeing Castillo pushed further up the field, where
he has already scored four goals in all competitions.

The big challenge for Ntseki is deciding which midfielder to drop from the
team, between Maart and George Matlou, to enable Castillo to operate
further up the field and Mthethwa to remain at the base. Ntseki was
heavily criticized in Chiefs’ last game against Sekhukhune United, when he
substituted Castillo, who had just scored the equaliser, in the closing
stages, for the debut of ‘Ox’.

When asked if the trio could play together, Ntseki did not give a
definitive answer. “It will be possible depending on the game plan,
depending on the moment, the phase of the game
