Wednesday, 19 July, saw former SuperSport United midfielder Guily Manziba part ways with the Tshwane giants after failing to make a single appearance for them during the 2022/23 season due to injury.
AmaZulu, Stellenbosch FC and an unnamed Gauteng-based club have all shown interest in the 26-year-old DR Congo international, with the Durban-based club welcoming him to train under their head coach Romain Folz.
Sources close to the player have revealed that Manziba has impressed Folz, and talks have been opened to potentially add him to the Usuthu squad.
“As you probably know by now, Guily Manziba has parted ways with SuperSport United and is in search of a new club. He is a free agent and is set to join a club of his choice during the January transfer window and his representatives are busy with that process,” said the source.
“AmaZulu are interested in signing the player and talks have been initiated. Another club that has been keen is Stellenbosch, as well as another one from Gauteng that I cannot mention now,” the source added.
