The talkSPORT BET bet builder is brilliant. It’s offered across different sports – including boxing, snooker and the NFL – with excellent variety. You can build your own, use pre-built options, or even slightly edit the pre-made bets. If you’re still not entirely happy or can’t see what you’re after, you can tweet talkSPORT BET, using the hashtag, and there’s a good chance that you’ll be offered a price and it gets added to the site.

Bonuses

talkSPORT BET offers Bet Boosts that are available for any sport, or market, and usually, are based around the top sporting events of the day. Any event that has the green and blue lightning bolt icon features a bet boost within it.

There is also Thank Football It’s Friday, which gives players the chance to win a variety of free bets, a Triple Your Returns on your first bet (this is additional to the welcome offer), a football rewards club and Footie 4 Play, a free predictor game with big payouts.

On top of this there are multiple horse racing offers and casino promotions, also.

Cash Out

Unsurprisingly, Cash Out is available at talkSPORT BET. It’s a feature that is now par for the course for bookmakers, so it’s reassuring to see it here. The cash out offered on a bet that I placed was neither incredible, nor awful, but pretty much bang on what I’ve come to expect from the feature generally.

talkSPORT BET Horse Racing

The talkSPORT BET site and app allows you to bet on a wide range of horse racing action across the globe from the UK and Ireland to South Africa and the UAE.

The Daily Racing Specials are excellent on talkSPORT BET, as are the trending bets and is a horse racing guide. 

As well as Best Odds Guaranteed (see below), you can also get cash back on a loss if your horse loses all chance at the beginning of the race through their ongoing No Horsing Around promotion.

Best Odds Guaranteed  applies to all UK & Irish horse and greyhound racing from 9.00 am on the day of the race. Take an Early Price (EP) or Board Price, and if the Starting Price (SP) is bigger, talkSPORT BET will pay you at the higher price. BOG does not apply to ante-post bets. 

talkSPORT BET US Sports Betting

A full range of American Sports is available. At the time of writing, only the NHL season isn’t up and running, with the other major leagues in full swing. Beyond that, and maybe somewhat surprisingly given its lack of international racing coverage, there are lots of international markets for these sports, particularly for basketball.

American Football Betting

When you land on an American football section, you want to see game lines, with spread, total and moneyline markets right there. Thankfully, you get that at talkSPORT BET. Some UK bookmakers try to Anglicise US sports, but removing the spread is completely the wrong thing to do as it’s the main thing punters look for from the off, so it’s great to see talkSPORT BET avoiding this common mistake.

On top of that, there are bet boosts, and at the time of this review I was greeted with a bet boost acca for this week’s slate.

Basketball Betting

It’s a sign of talkSPORT BET’s great basketball event coverage from all over the world that when I arrive at their basketball section there bet boosts on the Euroleague. There are plenty of NBA betting options (with trending bets displayed), as well as odds from the biggest matches in Europe, including Greece, Spain, Italy and Australia. In terms of markets, you’ll find money line, total points and handicaps, plus plenty more. You can also bet in-play, with odds available quarter by quarter. 

Baseball Betting

For MLB, you can choose from markets such as the outright winner of the series, the two teams that make it to the World Series, as well as all the usuals – Run Line, Winning Margin and Team To Score First Run and so on. There are also markets for the Japanese and Taiwanese leagues.

Ice Hockey Betting

You’ll obviously get a big NHL focus on talkSPORT BET given the league’s status, but you’ll also find competitions in Finland, Germany, Sweden, Kazakhstan and more. Their betting markets include Puck Line, Money Line, Total Goals, Highest Scoring Period, Double Chance, Winning Margin, Win/Draw/Win Betting and a selection of 3-Way Handicaps. It’s great to see that bet boosts are still are thing for ice hockey, with Win and Puck Line trebles at longer odds.

talkSPORT BET Darts Betting

In terms of darts betting sites in the UK, talkSPORT BET is fine. They offer different markets for the PDC World Championships, with some trending bets on top of that, but that’s about it. Unfortunately there aren’t any odds for the Masters, UK Open, World Cup of Darts, World Series of Darts, World Grand Prix and the European Championship. 

talkSPORT BET Snooker Betting

Regardless of the time of year, you will find outright markets on the game’s three biggest events – the World Championships, the UK Championships and The Masters –  at all times on talkSPORT BET. Other events feature throughout the snooker season, and it’s good to see Northern Ireland Open markets up. The odds are good, but nothing special. 

talkSPORT BET Rugby Betting (Union & League)

It’s surprising how few bookies are running Rugby World Cup offers, despite the tournament size and prominence, so it’s great to see a couple here. There are bet boosts for a number of different games.

Rugby betting markets (across League and Union) offered for individual matches include 3-Way Handicap, Total Points, Winning Margin and a range of Try Scorer options. 

talkSPORT BET Cricket Betting

It’s nice to see some promotions going on given that the Cricket World Cup is underway. Here there are some bet boosts, and some on pre-made bet builders which look great value.

The event coverage is excellent, with domestic competitions in India, Australia and the UAE all there, as well as outrights for future World Cups and the Ashes, also. 

Betway currently tops our Best Cricket betting site right now, with huge market depth, great odds and lots of promotions. talkSPORT BET actually matches them odds-wise, so hopefully they can up their market depth and they’ll be in with a shout of being one of the best around.

talkSPORT BET Tennis Betting

The tennis betting at talkSPORT BET is pretty decent. There are all the majors listed for next year, with outrights offered on all, and for upcoming matches there is a decent selection of ATP matches, as well as Challenger Series matches across the world. There’s also some enhanced accas offered at the time of review which is always nice to see. 

It appears that they do bet boosts on tennis games every day, well at least every different day that I was on their site. 

On top of that, I really like the in-play stats package that they do – there’s a lot of info packed in and it’s displayed cleanly and succinctly.

talkSPORT BET Golf Betting

It’s hard to fault the golf output here. There are ante post markets on all the majors, as well as the Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup. There are also LIV Golf Events, the Andalucia Masters, BMW Ladies Championship, plus a few more. You will find golf odds on the likes of Top 5 and Top 10 Finish, Round Leaders and Dual Forecast right here, and even Hole In One markets. 

talkSPORT BET Motorsports Betting

With an okay variety of betting markets covering Supercars. Formula 1, motorcycling and speedway are also covered, but under different tabs. I’d like to see some Nascar, Formula E or smaller events covered also, but this is pretty solid even if there isn’t the biggest event coverage or market depth within said events. 

talkSPORT BET Boxing Betting

I’m pleased to report that talkSPORT BET has a broad selection of boxing markets for all the world’s top bouts in every weight division. I find that the boxing betting odds cover a range of markets. Of course, you can bet on the fight winner for all bouts, but there is also a vast range of other markets, including, but not limited to, Round Betting, Total Rounds (Under/Over), Round Group Betting and Will The Fight Go The Distance.

talkSPORT BET Other Sports Betting

Whilst these sports aren’t as popular, there is a massive market for fans, and millions of them in the UK, so good coverage of niche sports and events is key to be reviewed on OLBG; let’s see how talkSPORT BET fares.

Handball Betting

Handball is increasingly popular and talkSPORT BET looks to be offering plenty for punters to bet on various handball events and tournaments worldwide, including France, Serbia, Spain and Romania, on top of the World Championships and Champions League. Markets include Win/Draw/Win, Handicap, Total Goals, Win Match and Draw No Bet markets, all with in-play and cash out available. 

Cycling Betting

talkSPORT BET offers betting on cycling for sports bettors who love their cycling, and comparing it with others UK bookies it’s pretty good to be honest. There are markets for the classics like Paris-Roubaix, Milan-San Remo and the Tour of Flanders, and that’s obviously on top of the three major tours. As well as road racing, however, talkSPORT BET also covers the Olympics and World Championships, with events including Omnium, Madison, Team Pursuit, Keirin and Time Trial.

Esports Betting 

Despite talkSPORT BET having a big presence when it comes to mainstream betting, they also have betting available for esports markets. Betting is available on games such as DOTA 2, Counter-Strike, League of Legends and FIFA as well as many others.

Esports betting is of course not as traditional as normal betting markets but it’s popularity is increasing as gaming grows in size year-by-year. Political Betting

The political betting section is laid out nicely and easy to navigate. Split into US Politics and UK Politics, you can do a deeper dive into the UK once you’re in, beyond the US Presidential election and UK General Election. There are markets for the London Mayoral race, next party leaders and next Prime Minister, as well as Labour Party and Conservative Party specials.

Unfortunately there isn’t anything beyond the UK or US, and I’d like to see some more interesting markets, such as moat seats, or by-election stuff, so overall talkSPORT BET delivers a decent job, if a little unimaginative.

Entertainment and Specials

This is an excellent selection for entertainment betting. There are markets on all the major reality shows running at the moment – that means Strictly Come Dancing, Dancing on Ice, Big Brother and the upcoming BBC Sports Personality of the Year. On top of that there are plenty of markets for next year’s Oscars and Emmys. There’s even markets on whether it will snow on Christmas Day, if that’s your kind of thing,

Placing a bet

This section should only really highlight if there are issues, as the process is almost identical on every site. 

Placing a bet on talkSPORT BET is straightforward with the betslip instantly popping up on the side of your screen on the desktop site. This adds your selection straight into your slip with the speed of placing the bet after clicking it less than a second.

The app is fairly similar to the desktop site with the betslip going at the bottom of your screen as soon as you pick your selection on there. In-play betting will always be slower to place a bet but from the example bets that we did we found that the prices stayed the same for the few seconds it took for the bet to process in-play.

Managing your account

An integral part of any betting site is the account management side of things with the ease of access to various account details always important. Plenty of options are available in the My Account section of talkSPORT BET including Bet History, Banking History and overall transactions.

This is an excellent part of the talkSPORT BET product. Overall, it’s a really good showing.

Overall, talkSPORT BET is such a brilliant betting option. At OLBG we compile data across over 70 UK bookmakers to properly determine who does what well. We know that talkSPORT BET ranks in the top 10 in the country for Best Odds Guaranteed, Free Bets Club and their greyhound coverage. 

I really like the use of little colourful icons to display what to expect with betting markets. The bet boost lightning bolt, and blue graph that signifies stats and data that accompany the market listing.

As mentioned, the partnering with BV has a very good move from the off, and although their odds aren’t as good as those on BetVictor, they make up for it with a raft of boosts, offers and promotions. This is a really great addition to the UK market, and I can see them being a major player very quickly.
