Orlando Pirates have received a major boost ahead of their crucial match against Cape Town Spurs tonight, with the return of exciting youngster Relebohile Mofokeng. Mofokeng had been in England since mid-October, where he had been attending trials at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 19-year-old had made 11 appearances across all competitions for the Buccaneers this season, including the final of the MTN8, which the Soweto giants won against Mamelodi Sundowns.
The return of Mofokeng should be a huge boost for coach Jose Riveiro, who is aiming to guide the side to a league victory after four unsuccessful attempts. The Soweto giants last won a league match in August against Cape Town City. They lost against Sundowns and drew against AmaZulu and Polokwane City respectively.
While an update will be expected from Pirates on Mofokengβs trial, the young star is likely to make a return to the matchday squad tonight.
