Tonight, Orlando Pirates will be looking to end their three-match winless streak in the DStv Premiership when they travel to face Cape Town Spurs at the DHL Stadium. The Buccaneers currently sit in 13th place on the log with nine points, although they have at least two games in hand.
Meanwhile, Spurs have not fared any better since their promotion back to the top flight, having lost all their matches to date and currently sitting at the bottom of the table with zero points. The Cape Town side recently announced the signing of former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Bradley Ralani.
The sides met recently in the Carling Knockout, where the Soweto giants beat the Cape Town side 2-0 at Orlando Stadium. The last time they met in the league was in the 2017/18 season, where Pirates won the first round clash 1-0 but the Urban Warriors turned the tables and thrashed them 3-0 at this evening’s venue.
Both teams will be hoping to capitalize on their opponents’ poor form and come away with a win. The match kicks off at 19h30 tonight.
