Revealed: Ngezana’s Substantial Price Tag!

FCSB owner Gigi Becali has revealed that he values South African defender Siyabonga Ngezana at a staggering €7 million (±R144 million). This is more than 10 times more than the initial €600 000 (±R12.3 million) transfer fee paid to Kaizer Chiefs in June!

Ngezana was signed by Becali four months ago and has since gone from relative novice abroad to a mainstay in the FCSB side, despite initial fears that he was struggling to adapt to life in Europe. Having allayed those fears, Ngezana has everyone, including his club’s charismatic owner, singing a different tune, with Becali recently revealing that he plans to raid the South African market to recruit more players of Ngezana’s calibre.

It appears that Becali, who took over the club presidency in 2003, has put his money where his mouth is, showing just how highly he rates Ngezana. According to Romanian publication Digisport, Becali has slapped a €7 million price tag on the 26-year-old in the event that any team expresses an interest in him.
