On Saturday, Orlando Pirates will be facing Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 Cup final at Moses Mabhida Stadium. Ahead of the much-anticipated match, Pirates striker, Zakhele Erasmus, has said that he won’t be emotional when he faces his former team.
Erasmus told PSLSA that he has no problem with anyone at Sundowns, and that he is friends with all the players. However, he noted that it is a game that both teams want to win, and that there are no friends on the ground for 90 minutes.
“We have to execute our plan to the best of our ability and make sure that we convert the chances which we create on the day,” Erasmus said.
The South African striker added that they are positive going into the final despite a few inconsistent results this season so far. He noted that it is a great honour to play in three cup finals in a row and is looking forward to a good game on Saturday.
