Kaizer Chiefs will be looking to build on their victory in the Soweto derby when they take on Richards Bay FC in the DStv Premiership on Wednesday afternoon.
The Glamour Boys are on a mission to climb up the table and close the gap between themselves and the top two, with Chiefs currently lying fifth on the log, three points behind third-placed Orlando Pirates and five points behind second-placed SuperSport United.
Arthur Zwane’s side will be looking to make it two wins in a row in the league after edging Orlando Pirates 1-0 in the Soweto derby last weekend and will be without the services of striker Ashley Du Preez who has failed to recover from the injury he picked up in the derby.
Richards Bay, meanwhile, are searching for their first win since mid-January as they have gone three games without a win, with their last outing ending in a 2-1 loss to Stellenbosch.
The Natal Rich Boyz have since dropped down to fourth on the table, equal on points with Chiefs and will be looking to avenge their 1-0 defeat in the reverse fixture, with Dillan Solomons netting the game’s only goal from the penalty spot.
Both teams will be looking to make the most of this opportunity as they battle for continental places and the bragging rights in Durban.
