Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly looking to bolster their squad for the 2022/23 season, with the Soweto giants linked with a goalkeeper from a DStv Premiership opponent. Ugandan international Salim Magoola, who currently plays for Richards Bay FC, has been impressive throughout the campaign, and is believed to be on Chiefs’ radar.
The 27-year-old has started in all of the KwaZulu-Natal team’s 18 matches this season, and has kept 11 clean sheets. His impressive performances have earned him potential suitors, with Amakhosi believed to be one of the clubs keeping an eye on him with a view of making a formal approach at the end of the season, according to sources.
“Salim Magoola has attracted interest from a few clubs and Chiefs is one of the interested teams. The player has been in great form for Richards Bay and it is not a surprise that there are big clubs showing interest,” said the source.
If Kaizer Chiefs do make a move for Magoola, it would be the latest in a series of changes to coach Arthur Zwane’s squad at the end of the season.
