Khune, Jali & Billiat Featured in Dream XI of Expiring Contracts

As the season draws to a close, Soccer Laduma has compiled a dream team of players who have contracts expiring in June. Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune’s deal with the club is due to expire, though the Siya crew has been informed that Amakhosi could give him another season.

Mulomowandau Mathoho and Sifiso Hlanti will also see their contracts with Chiefs expire, though the latter has an option to extend. Khama Billiat is another one at Chiefs who has a contract coming to an end and the Siya crew has previously reported on the key factors involved in making a decision on the player’s future, including his big salary, recurring injuries and age.

SuperSport United striker Bradley Grobler is in the final few months of his contract with the club and Matsatsantsa are eager to hold onto him for at least another season. Thamsanqa Gabuza, however, is set to leave the club, as confirmed by club CEO Stan Matthews. Thulani Hlatshwayo signed a one-year deal and SuperSport looks set to take the option they have on the player, while Siphesihle Ndlovu is another one at SuperSport who could have his deal extended.

At Mamelodi Sundowns, Thapelo Morena and Andile Jali are awaiting to see what happens next in their careers. Jali’s contract discussions have dragged on and there is a possibility that he could leave, while Morena has a two-year option in his deal. Surprise Ralani’s contract with Sundowns also expires in June and the player is waiting to see if the club will exercise the option in his contract.

Orlando Pirates midfielder Thabang Monare has been in good form recently and could convince the Buccaneers to give him a new deal when his current one expires in June.

Soccer Laduma’s dream XI of players who have contracts expiring in June includes Khune, Morena, Mathoho, Hlatshwayo, Hlanti, Monare, Jali, Billiat, Ralani, Grobler, and Gabuza. Other mentions include Richard Ofori, Vuyo Mere, Onismor Bhasera, Brian Onyango, Ben Motshwari, Aubrey Ngoma, Bongi Ntuli, and Lehlohonolo Majoro.
