Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has opened up on the pressure he has faced since taking the helm of Amakhosi 23 games ago.
In that time, Zwane has amassed 10 wins, six draws and seven defeats in all competitions – a record that puts him amongst the club’s finest coaches in recent years. The Glamour Boys have also progressed to the last 16 of the Nedbank Cup, courtesy of a 2-0 win over Maritzburg United.
Despite his side’s success in cup competitions, Zwane has admitted to the pressure of overseeing a team with the magnitude of Chiefs, although he is fully focused on restoring the glory days at Naturena.
“It comes with the pressure of working for a team like Kaizer Chiefs, where people expect the results week in, week out. It has never been easy, even before me, coaches have found it difficult,” Zwane told the club’s website.
