Orlando Pirates defender has been the subject of speculation recently, with reports linking him to a potential move to Italian club Sassuolo. However, the Buccaneers have denied that any formal offer has been made for the Nigerian international.
Ndah joined Pirates in 2021 and has been open about his desire to pursue a career in Europe. His progress has been disrupted by an injury he sustained last year, with the club predicting he would be out until the end of January. Pirates’ assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi recently hinted at the player’s imminent return, saying, “You still have (Olisa) Ndah who is coming from injury, (Nkosinathi) Sibisi was out with an injury, (Maela) suspended. I think there’s more quality that is coming through, indicating Pirates can only be better when we’re in full strength.”
Ndah’s existing contract with Bucs runs until June 2024. Despite speculation that he may be unsettled due to reported interest from Italy, insiders have assured Pirates supporters that there is nothing to worry about regarding the player’s future. “He has been injured and there is nothing to worry about. Yes, he does dream of furthering his career in Europe but that doesn’t have anything to do with the current situation. The player has been injured and that’s it,” said the source.
