Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper, Brilliant Khuzwayo, has heaped praise on four players who have impressed him this season, despite the club’s current form.
The 26-year-old, who is a product of the club’s DStv Diski Challenge, has been complimentary of three of the team’s graduates, Samkelo Zwane, Wandile Duba and Mduduzi Shabalala, who have all made the progression to the first team this season.
“I think they’ve done so well looking at the fact that it’s their first season with the senior team and they’ve adapted very well, which is a good thing for the team. All I hope is that they keep on working hard and keep on improving,” Khuzwayo said during the Nedbank Cup draw.
The goalkeeper also reserved special praise for Christian Saile, the club’s new signing, who has managed an assist and a goal in four appearances so far this season.
“Chris is a very good player, we saw when he came for trials in December, he did so well, and I think that’s the reason why the club decided to sign him. I’m not surprised that he is doing so well at the moment, and I believe there is still more to come from him,” Khuzwayo said.
Kaizer Chiefs will next face Orlando Pirates in the Soweto Derby on Saturday, 14 October, at the FNB Stadium. Kick-off is at 15:30pm.
