Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Denis Onyango is in talks with the club over a new contract extension. Onyango, whose current contract is set to expire at the end of the season, has been a loyal servant to the Brazilians since joining from Mpumalanga Black Aces in 2011.
The veteran goalkeeper has only managed to rack up four appearances this term, playing second fiddle to Bafana Bafana international Ronwen Williams. According to Siya sources, both the player and the club have already started negotiations over a new deal, believed to be a one-year offer with another one-year option.
Onyango has been an integral part of Sundowns’ success in recent years, helping the club win a number of league titles and the CAF Champions League. The 34-year-old will be hoping to extend his stay at Chloorkop and continue to add to his impressive trophy haul.
