Monday, Orlando Pirates are set to welcome some of their players back from loan spells, however, one of the stars is facing an uncertain future. Sources close to the Soweto giants have revealed that Nkanyiso Zungu, currently on loan with Richards Bay FC, is facing an uncertain future with the Buccaneers.
The midfielder has featured in 11 DStv Premiership matches for the KwaZulu-Natal outfit, making six starts and five substitute appearances, and has been lauded at the club for his efforts in getting his career back on track.
A source close to the club revealed, “Pirates is open to allowing Nkanyiso Zungu to make progress in his career where he will be getting more game time, which is what he needs after some setbacks in his career. But the decision will be made at the end of the season on all the players.”
The 23-year-old joined the Buccaneers in January 2020 from Stellenbosch FC, and his contract with the club is set to expire in June.
Other players on loan from the club include Boitumelo Radiopane, who is doing well at Cape Town Spurs, as well as Tshegofatso Mabasa, Zakhele Lepasa, Tebogo Tlolane and Bongani Sam.
